Excellent Pledm. I was fortunate enough to see dick Dale about 4 years ago at a restraunt club in San Diego. I'd never really heard of him since he was before my time but what an amazing musician. He's credited with inventing the surf music sound. A lefty guitarist, he played the classics like Wipeout, Pipeline, etc and also busted out some Hendrix. It was truly jaw dropping. He even played drums and bass on a few songs. His son came out at the end of his show and did some classical guitar duets with dad and is equally as talented. I recall that his son's hobby besides guitar is building remote control helicopters. He's got to be one of the great guitarists ever. Every time I watch Pulp Fiction, it brings back memries of that night. |

Hi quest, Oh I`ve been a fan of dick Dale since I was young.Your seeing him must have been amazing,man this guy is amazing and when a Beach Party movie comes up I just love it,because I know dick Dale will be playing some great music. Oh I love when Donna Loren is singing with DD in the many Beach movies,she`s such a great singer.  |
