Hi Everybody, I've been away for a while. thanks for reinviting me to this beautiful new format of your forum. Debbie, I've heard that concert is one of the greatest things that happens around here every year. Not only Robert Plant, but there are lots of stages set up all around the park with tons of great bands. There are hostels in the city that are quite cheap, and a good option, I think. You can google San Francisco hostels.

I have found someone who says they want to go to San Francisco with me to see Plant and Alison play the festival at Golden Gate Park. Now I just have to find a way to save up some money so I can make the trip. I have a reliable enough car to make it down there and back so that is not a problem, thank heavens. We haven't decided how long we will be spending in San Fran, but the festival lasts the weekend, so we might stay that long. This will be a great adventure if I really get to do it! I do not look forward to trying to find my way around down there, as the California driver's are really fast paced. But I am planning on going for it anyway. ;D

I hope you can make it Debbie, I consider San Francisco Bay area my home town and the Nashville of Rock and Roll, at least Hippie Rock. I'd sure like to go back for a visit but being on the east coast now, it's unlikely I will. You never know what's gonna transpire between now and then though. I hope you have a good time. Don't forget to check out Fillmore West since Led Zeppelin and so many others played there. Please give us a review of the concert when you get back.

Well, I will have to save several hundred dollars between now and then to be able to go on this road trip, and I will need to get lucky and get a job soon to be able to do that. So it is not a for sure thing yet. It's going to depend on how lucky I get between now and then. But if I do get lucky, and I really think there is a good chance I will, then I will give you a great review of the concert, that's for sure! We are hoping to be traveling with Jerry Miller of Moby Grape too, if he will go with us and be our tour guide that is. I am really hoping he WILL go because it will help me a LOT finding my way around down there. He lived down there for years while he played in Moby Grape, and I am sure that he still knows how to get around in San Fran. He has recently disappeared on us and become homeless, so we are having a hard time finding him though. Send us some good vibes so that we will have better luck tracking him down so that we can ask him to go with us. He is a good friend of Robert's too, so we might actually get backstage at the concert if Jerry goes with us! That would be fun. But I am more hoping that he will go because he would be great company and an awesome tourguide. ;D
