Do we just stop existing the moment our body dies or is there some kind of afterlife in another dimension?
What do you expect is going to happen when you leave this place?

I think when you die it's not really the end your physical body is gone either returing to soil or if you were cremated you become ash. But after you're burried a part of you still lives on, your spirit. Your spirit is something that is formless and can go anywhere and do anything. Hopefully your spirit will guide and inspire others to greatness, to carry on your legacy. That's how I see it.

Energy cannot be destroyed, the spiritual energy must go somewhere when you die whether to another organism or into the ether I don't know but it must go somewhere!

I think it's like melting into a big puddle of cum.

Your spirit rises from the body and inhabits Eastbourne for eternity. I'm not looking forward to that.

I believe that sometimes your spirit actually hangs around and waits for those you love to pass over into the spiritual realms also. And can help other's that you love while waiting for them to join you. I also believe that you can go to a heaven for awhile and learn lessons that are higher than what we are usually capable of learning on earth. But I am also a true believer in reincarnation, like so many of the Eastern societies believe. I was raised not to believe in reincarnation, but after studying theology and other spiritual matters for so long, I think it is only logical that we have more than one incarnation as human beings on this earth, and possibly even elsewhere.

Henry Scott Holland(1847-1918) Wrote this poem:
death is nothing at all i have slipped away into the next room i am i and you are you
whatever we were to each other that we still are
call me by my familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used to
put no difference in your tone ,wear no false air of solenimityor sorrow laugh as we always laughed together at the same little jokeswe enjoyed play ,smile think of me
let my name be ever the household word that it always was let it be spoken without effort, without the ghost of a shadow on it life means all that it ever meant
it is the same as it ever was ,there is absolute unbroken continuity what death is but a negligible accident? why should i be out of mind because i am out of sight
i am waiting for you,for an interval, somewere very near just around the corner
all is well
nothing is past,nothing is lost
one brief moment and all will be as it was before.

Hi all,its funny I`ve been thinking of this question alot in the past few months for family and personal reasons.Tough question,we all read and we are influenced in hope,we all want to know what we do not know and death is the great unknown. We are given a glimpse of death with someone personal,a family member/friend that makes us think of death more than we do until it hits us.Its funny for me its hit me a couple of times personally and its still in my head, just the question of death. Are we like other mammals and just die,we had life and were dust or because we have thought/mind we are better,is this thought of importance of religion a factor in the early tribes of life just to feel there is something else or are we just born to die,,,still thinking,,,cheers to you all

I have had dreams about what it was like before I was born on earth, and it was actually a very pleasant dream. If death is anything at all like what I dreamt, then it is like a relaxing sleep, where you feel you are just drifting along in bliss. I didn't have a body, rather I was a form of light energy. I had no problems, and it was a very comfortable place to be, very restful.

I think your soul carries on forever, your physical body is gone but your soul stays, you become a spirit, you exist in a higher plane. I also think sometimes if it is ones karma you can become a new person, your soul is inserted into a new born baby. and you return again to live a life. But you do not remember anything from the past life.

When you are in a body, I can see how the soul is kept intact. Of course, lots of people say they can leave their body through astral projection, and then go back. If that is true, I don't see why the spirit couldn't continue after we die. It's hard for me to believe in something I haven't experienced. To learn how to astral project is something I'd like to do, but I'm pretty lazy. If anyone here has done it, could you say if it is true? I think I may have done it once just after my dad died, but I feel that he caused it so he could announce himself to me and say goodbye.
