Are you a Fruit or veg lover

Food psychologist Dr. Brian Wansink has recently made the comparison between fruit lovers and veggie lovers to come up with these findings:

Compared to the average person, vegetable lovers:

Like to try new recipes and entertain at home
Enjoy spicy foods
Think you cook nutritiously
Enjoy an occasional glass of wine

Compared to the average person, fruit lovers:

Often eat dessert with dinner
Spend little time cooking
Avoid new recipes and entertaining
Enjoy an occasional candy bar

So what about you, are you a fruit person or a veggie person?

And do the good doctor's findings resonate with you?

Definitely a veg although neither set of characteristics fits me very well. Perhaps I am odd because I have some health issues that fruit seems to aggravate so it's more a matter of necessity than choice.

If I had to choose between fruits or vegies, I would choose the vegies. I just love them. But I eat the occasional candy bar, because I have a really severe sweet tooth that I have to fight to control all of the time. It sucks to have a sweet tooth because sugar really isn't good for you.

If I lived alone I simply would rarely buy sweet stuff, but I have a large family that is addicted to junk food, so it is always in the house. I wish that they would not want the junk food so much.

It's addictive. That's the way they make it so as to sell as much of it as possible. Ever heard of MSG? It's an addictive appetite stimulant they put in all kinds of stuff. What do they care if half the people are obese? Profit, man, profit.

Yeah, I'm sure that you are right about that, come to think of it! I am just now learning about all of this stuff, so I haven't taught my family any of it while they were young. Plus, my old man is a junk food junkie, worse than any I have ever seen. I wish that I could get HIM off of the junk food, because then I wouldn't buy it anymore.

I have 2 girls ages 27 and 23, and 2 boys ages 19 and 13. We didn't have much junkfood in the house unless it was Saturday night movie night until I got together with my currant Old Man. He has to have junk food every day. He's really an addict. Do you have any children?

I like both fruit and veg but prefer veg if i must choose. I am allergic to a lot of fruit though which is sad. That MSG sounds like some real nasty stuff!

Not unless you count cats. Three of those.

The Michael Schenker Group were never as good as UFO, but were never really "nasty." ;D

I'm definitely a vegetable. Sorry, a "veggie." The fact that I actually liked cabbage, cauliflower, etc as a child bewildered my mother rather a lot.
