I appreciate you posting about this subject Pledm.
I recently deleted all member acccounts that came under the criteria: Have never posted, but registered over a year ago. I just don't understand why people join a forum and then never make a single post in it. What's the point? I can understand that people can get bored with a messageboard after posting a while though. But a forum only gets as good as the members make it. If someone think the topics are boring - make new topics that interest you. Anyway I want to thank you Pledm for being the motor here. Thanks for all the topics you have contributed with since you joined. I think I will do another lot of deleting memberships, perhaps people who haven't posted in the last six months or so. We'll see. Anyway, should we let visitors/unregistered/guests post in certain areas to get the forum more active?

Hi Bobin, It does sadden me about the turn out with this forum as you know and see I like it very much and still I can`t understand the members not participating.Your thoughts on non members is a tricky situation,could be fun or be like graffiti where they sign and go..So I don`t know,my feelings is this its a very good forum,with potential if people just started to comunicate and we have some nice members and to be in Bobin`s forum you `Have` to be a member.So I guess `NO`to non members,just my feelings to this forum,to me its like a family and once in awhile a family member remembers to say `Hello`.I can say this to all guests that view Bobins forum,I have viewed many forums and entered a few,but this one really made me `Happy`,no judgements no yelling just your thoughts and views with alot of encouragement from others,but this also sounds harsh so maybe someone a guest might view the forum and might be `shy`to join but still wants to enter a thought,this too might be the answer,honestly I`m just lost in why people/members are not making an effort,,i still think its great Bobin,,something to think about,thanks for your time cheers |

Ok, I just created an area called "The Guesthouse" where unregistered members can post, just to say hi or give some feedback. Let's see how it turns out.

I have been having lots of fun thinking up topics to post at the new messageboard that Bobinbed made for me! It is soooo much fun. But I still come here to post as well. My family is going through a crises at the moment, and it's one that won't likely go away for a little while, so I am trying to distract myself from worrying so much by posting a lot on the boards that I go to. It is helping a little.  |
