The most recent movie I went to see was "War of the worlds" - Lots of great action but a rather poor story that left a lot of questions unanswered. LOVED the tripods! HATED that whining little girl. Bought the old classic "The mummy" with Boris Karloff today, along with David Cronenberg's "The brood". I will save them for a boring gray day.

I thought the effects in War of the Worlds were pretty good, too. But it was one of those unanswered questions movies. An awesome one is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Johnny Depp is wonderful (and wonderfully hot), and Tim Burton has got to be one of the most awesome directors ever. Another good one that I saw yesterday is the Skeleton Key. It's awesome, and the ending is something you'd never expect.

Bill Murray in Stripes. Hillarious stuff. PJ Soles is in that movie, I have such a heartbreaker for her. She was so cool in Rock and Roll Highschool. ;D

Hi all, just rented War of the Worlds and Batman Returns, enjoyed both, but (theres always a but),I was disappointed with War of the W,yes it would have been great to see it on the BIG screen but, but,I think on TV you can see the so called blemishes,it just was a let down, yes great effects but Spielsberg I don`t know didn`t show grace to the original,I mean he did but the impact wasn`t the same for us/meaning the original made a greater effect, but the Batman one was a refreshing breathe of fresh air, what can I say,but `next`,lets have a sequel, and from what I read all (except tomkat) have signed, great. Finally after Tim Burtons fabulous job at Batman we might have another.(just my thoughts ha ha). ;D

I saw "Kinsey - Let's talk about sex" the other day with Lord Jagged. It's about Alfred Kinsey, and what led up to the famous Kinsey report.

Hi all, I rented 2 very good flicks,`Syriana` with george clooney (who won the oscar for supporting actor) its a political thriller and `Matador` with pierce brosnon (the james bond guy), a funny flick and a great change from his 007 days,he plays a hitman with a mid-life crisis, both movies are well worth the watch.
