Who has seen some great concerts? Just curious to find out which bands people out there have seen. I went to various 60s shows with hippie-type bands--Jefferson Airplane, Doors & Led Zeppelin, among others. I write about the music scene back then with the emphasis on Led Zeppelin in my book, Whole Lotta Led. It was a fun but crazy time; went by very fast! Share your stories here if you want. I wish that I would have been old enough to see The Doors and Led Zeppelin. I was almost old enough to see Zeppelin on their last concert, but then it was cancelled because John Bonham died. My parents thought they were into black magick anyway, so they wouldn't have let me go even if John would have lived though.

Did you like the video, Debbie? I thought it was excellent. I saw them at a small club called the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood. The atmosphere was very exciting, indeed. It was quite hot and stuffy and people were crowded in like sardines. I willed myself not to pass out so I could see Jim and The Doors, and it was well worth the effort. In the video, you see him fall to the floor during the Unknown Soldier. When he did that at the Whisky, it was a mind blower. I don't think we expected that much drama. He was quite a guy. Too bad he only had a couple of years to share his talent with us. The Doors were amazing, too.

I loved the part of the video that I got to watch, until I was interupted by my 2 year old granddaughter needing me, LOL! I will watch the rest of it when I am not babysitting some time, which is almost never these days, since I got nominated to watch my 6 month old grandson while his mom goes to work too.
