Jim Morrison wrote some fantastic lyrics, it's impossible to choose between all of the masterpieces. What a poet he was!

I agree, coolchick! But if I had to pick, I think it'd be the "Celebration of the Lizard". I know it's not really a 'song', but it really shows Jim's true genius.

For me its the feeling of all his lyrics, but for me the song `The END`,it gives so much emotion,so much emotion, you actually feel what is happening ,its gives people who can relate to it a opening or a,,,it can be scary hearing it sometimes. But it really moved me.

I always really liked "My Eyes Have Seen You." There's some great imagery in that one. That was one of the earliest songs he wrote. He wrote it when he slept on rooftops in Venice. "My eyes have seen you, let me photograph your soul, memorize your alleys on an endless roll." Television skies I also always thought was a brilliant phrase too.
"Peace Frog" is another great one. It was a combination of three different poems Jim wrote.

Jim was a lyrical genius and also a very insightful and deep person. I love listening to the Doors!
