Hi all,just another update on a fav singer; Joni Mitchell Is Making Progress, Friend Judy Collins Says  Joni Mitchell is "making good progress" as she recovers from an aneurysm, a longtime friend said on Facebook Thursday. Judy Collins, a singer/songwriter whose rendition of Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" has been entered in the Grammy Hall of Fame, said via her page that a mutual friend told her the Canadian music legend is "walking, talking, painting some, doing much rehab every day."  Collins' update was also posted on JoniMitchell.com. The editors of that site implored visitors to post get-well messages at WeLoveYouJoni.com. Mitchell was taken to hospital in March after having an aneurysm. In June, her conservator Leslie Morris said she was "speaking well" but not yet walking, though she said she would be in the "near future." "She is resting comfortably in her own home and she's getting better each day," she added. Collins is a longtime musician who came up with others in a community of folk artists in New York's Greenwich Village in the 1960s. Her website credits her with bringing a number of artists, including Mitchell and fellow Canadian Leonard Cohen, to broader public attention.
