I come from a small town south of the capital of Sweden (Stockholm).
I did the ordinary schooling that every kid does, the a year at college doing dressmaking and I decided to quit. I started working with textile art and making costumes, props and posters for a local amateur theatre group. Then I started working with cosmetics and colour analysis. Went on to shop window decorator and blockwriter, pre-school teacher, more shop work at the same time as I did my college studies a bit late - I took the science program but added stuff I was interested in, like history, religion, psychology etc. After that I studied more science and environmental law as well as environmental planning. Got a job with the local government working with environment, nature and chemistry related projects. Right now doing webdesign.
I too am artistic. I love to draw and paint. I also enjoy writing.

I have only went through high school so far, but am hoping to start college soon. The first job I ever had ended up being the job that I spent the most time at throughout my life. That is an exotic dancer. It was a very strange job, but it fed the kids and put a roof over thier heads.
My other favorite jobs include managing a holistic healing center, where it was my job to interview different forms of healers to decide if they should work through our business. That included many forms of psychics as well. It was very interesting, and I only wish that I would have been able to get along with my boss better there, because I would have spent a lot more time in that job if that had been the case.
I have been many forms of a waitress; cocktail, banquet, dinner. I have been a nurses assistant in a nursing home, that was very hard work, but extrememly rewarding. I have been a secretary/receptionist, not my favorite, but not that bad all the same. I have designed and created clothes for sale at a The Hippy Hut retail store, that was a great challenge, but proved to be a lot of fun. And I still to this day create costumes for dancers once in a while. That is something that I enjoy doing.
I used to paint using oils, but haven't done that for a very long time. I create more with yarn now, and make halter tops and string bikini's instead. I haven't ever been that great with drawing, but have been OK with it most of my life. Painting is where I really excelled. I only wish that my parents wouldn't have kept every single painting that I ever made for thier own selfish reasons. I would have liked to have one of my own paintings to hang in my house. I guess I will have to take painting up again in order to have that happen someday.
Oh, and I almost forgot, I am from Olympia, Washington USA. I have lived around where I was born my whole life, and probably always will because now all of my kids are starting thier families here too.

I feel honored to know the both of you too, Bobin, and Pledm. I'll tell you what though, lately my life is such a drag. I don't think I'm as cut out to be a homemaker as I should be, because I really get bored doing the same thing day in and day out without getting paid for it, you know? And now, I am thinking that I won't be able to go to college next fall because my daughter won't be able to afford the daycare for my granddaughter. And I know if I am not babysitting, she will just drop out of school. Something that I will blame myself for in the long run. I have always wanted at least one of my children to go to college, and my oldest daughter didn't decide to go until right before she became pregnant. I told her that I would help her with her baby so that she would still be able to go. But a year and a half into the four years of babysitting, I think I bit off more than I can chew. I have no idea what I'm going to do about this yet.

I was born and raised (and still live) in South Florida. I'm a senior in high school. I love to read and write poetry (but I'm not a nerd because I despise forced reading/writing). I don't have a job, but have contemplated doing freelance work. Could never write solely for a living (as many have suggested) due to the fact that I hate knowing that to get money I HAVE to cough up a new piece of work- the reason being it might not be as true or raw and powerful if I forced it when I knew I had a deadline coming up. So other than that, I love listening to music and playing with my adorable nephew. My life is pretty boring, but being outside in nature is something that always keeps me from getting too bored.
