Will never try to comprehend this facination with the Fab Four great as they may have been, make a change and try to listen to Patti Smith/Horses or Mr Tambourine man/Byrds, Eric Clapton/Eric Clapton and the Yardbirds. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

Hi, Welcome mannzito to our forum,  No disrespect to you but you didn`t read the article it was about a friendship between 2 greats and Mr.McCartney wrote a few more hits than the 1 you suggested.You might be a little quick to judge or realize the influence the Beatles have had on all sorts of things try looking through the last 4 decades and you will understand there importance,better yet read the Beatles Anthology or even better yet watch the DVD`s then you might understand. Your other examples are indeed great,there are a number of amazing musicians and poets through the history of music,also take some time and view some of the past posts,there is a vast knowledge of great musicians and genres.
