The USA is the only country in the "civilized" world that allows prescription drug commercials on TV. Good or bad? Personally I think it is up to doctors to recommend medicines to patients, not for people themselves to create a need for a drug based on a TV ad.
Your view?

Personally I don`t care, its true a doctor should be the only one to prescribe the pills, but to each is own.If you think you need it and can`t get it from a doctor then be my guest.

A lot of people think the have illnesses they don't have. A lot of people over medicate and mix medicines that counteract. People buy growth hormone on the net to get taller and build muscles, but there is a reason why we stop growing in the first place. It's not healthy when your adult heart keeps growing for instance... I have visited a website where women who "think" they have a hormonal imbalance experiment with progesterone cream in high doses. I have one word for this: IDIOCY. Why encourage it? If prescription drugs are advertised it encourages general misuse of medical products - prescription ones or not. Because it makes it look so EASY to fix your life when you view commercials.
